A new champion has emerged among the ranks of the table tennis players at Les Prés de la Fontaine. Laurent Vaillant won the second table tennis tournament at the park which was held during the long weekend of the 3rd and 4th May.
Laurent takes this sport very seriously and competes regularly at regional level. A member of the Meaux table tennis club for the past five years, he practises for two hours twice a week and plays in competitions most weekends. So what advice can he give to young novice players?
“I would definitely join a club”, he said, “then you can play against different people on a regular basis and learn new techniques. Regular practise is essential. I thought you have a nice ping pong room and I very much enjoyed the competition.”
